Start Your Path to Proficiency

Tim’s has added two new courses to help you become more proficient in the use of your firearm(s).

Advanced Pistol –

Advanced pistol will focus on the skills needed beyond the comprehension of the basic pistol fundamentals. This class will cover what we refer to as the advanced pistol fundamentals. These topics include: recognizing and clearing malfunctions, tactical reloads, quick target acquisition, accuracy drills and rapid fire. Shooters will gain understanding of when and how to implement these skills. This is a must-take class for anyone that plans on shooting for personal protection or furthering their shooing skills and education.

Carbine Basics –

This class is designed for the new carbine owner or someone looking to buy their first carbine. Some of the topics include: safe operation of the carbine, optics, accessories and zeroing. After completion of this class students will be able to operate their carbine in a safe manner, have a basic understanding of the application for various optics and accessories and have their rifle zeroed or the understanding on how to zero a rifle in the future.

Join us at Tim’s for this fun summer league. There will be prizes and divisions for all! This is a great way to improve your shooting with a little competition. You don’t have to win a division to win prizes! We will be giving way grand prizes for each division as well as prizes in the shooter’s raffle.

The Rules

This competition will be shot with pistols, maximum barrel length of 6”. There will be four divisions, limited, unlimited, rimfire and revolver.

Limited – No optics, no compensators, no rimfire, all other modifications allowed

Unlimited – No rimfire, all modifications allowed

Rimfire – all rimfire cartridges allowed, all modifications allowed

Revolver- Will only shoot 5 rounds instead of 10, no rimfire

Shooters will fire 10 rounds or 5 rounds for revolvers per stage over 5 stages ranging from 12’-75’. Shooters will have 15 seconds to complete each stage. Magazines may be loaded to a maximum of 10 rounds. The entry fee is $25.00 per pistol, there is no limit on how many guns a competitor can shoot in this competition, however, the same gun may not be shot twice. Shooters must compete in two of the three matches to win prizes. The lowest score of the three matches will be dropped. Shooters will receive one raffle entry per gun that they shoot for the shooter’s raffle.

Our GSSF Summer League is Here!

We’re proud to bring this unique competition opportunity to Tim’s!

We’re starting a new GSSF Competition!  Join us Saturday, June 3, July 15, and August 5, 2017 for the matches.

What is a GSSF League Match???

The GSSF League Match is a series of three matches conducted over a 3-month period. Participants must be current GSSF members and compete in two of the three matches to qualify for plaques and prizes. If you are not currently a member, you may join on-line at the GSSF website or upon registration at a GSSF League Match. An annual GSSF membership costs only $35.00 for new members and $25.00 for renewing members and allows you to compete in any GSSF match. Competitors may shoot ANY GLOCK pistol.

The Lewis Prize Allocation system is used to distribute awards as equitably as possible. Each separate pistol used during the match will be a separate entry. Your two best scores of each entry during the series will be totaled and averaged at the end of the 3-match series. If a shooter competes in only two matches, his/her scores for each entry are totaled and divided by two. If a shooter competes in all three matches, his/her best two scores for each entry are totaled and divided by 2. The result is one final score for each entry, which is then listed in the overall order in which he/she finished. The overall list is then divided into thirds, with the top one-third considered “A Class,” the second one-third is “B Class,” and the final one-third is “C Class.” Plaques are awarded to the top competitor of each class. Unlimited Class is available for non-stock GLOCK Pistols

All Scoring disputes will be determined by the host range.

Additionally, t-shirts, hats, and field knives are awarded and a GLOCK pistol is GIVEN AWAY by drawing at the end of a GSSF League Match series.

Come join us for some fun on the range! We hope to see you at the next GSSF League Match!
